Step up efforts to secure pastor's release from North Korean jail

Now that there is "proof of life" in North Korea, people close to jailed Pastor Hyeon Soo Lim are urging Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Canadian authorities to "step up" efforts to get the Mississauga man released.

"We were so glad to see the video of him," said Lisa Pak, spokesman for the Light Korean Presbyterian Church in Mississauga, which has been pressing for contact since he was sentenced to life in prison last month.

Just Saturday, I interviewed Pak about how they had not heard one thing about his location or status.
